Practice hard.

Be kind.

Think happy.

Through my own struggles and experiences, I have learned that nothing heals more and feels better than having someone there.

Someone who pushes you to be your best self, steers you in the right direction, and helps to guide you down a path you are confident in and passionate about.

I want to be that person for others. Someone who strives to bring a smile, be a positive influencer, and can bring others up when they feel down.

The classical music world is too serious to be another black and white cog in that machine. We can all love and support each other (and ourselves) a little more.

I aim to teach self-love and positivity in the practice room, and help musicians fall in love with making all types of music, whether it be a violin concerto or a cover of a cover of The Beatles. Music is important, and beautiful, it should not be stressful.

I’ve been knocked down before, it’s time for me to use the knowledge of how I got back up to help others who may be struggling.

"Abby Lannan is an amazing young talent with a brain as big as her sound. I expect big things from her moving forward, as a player, teacher and role model."

- Lance LaDuke,

I am a performer, artist, and educator based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am currently the Social Media Manager for The Brass Roots.

Through GoofyEuph, I aim to bring positivity, kindness, and self-love to a musical audience. I hope to inspire musicians young and old to find love and enjoyment in music at any level.

I play Baritone with The River City Brass Band, and have performed with the Carnegie Mellon University Philharmonic, and the Tallahassee Youth Symphony. I have performed world premieres of compositions with the Florida State Tuba Quartet, and the Florida State Wind Orchestra. I won the 2018 Carnegie Mellon University Concerto Competition and was a finalist in the 2016 IET Solo Artist Competition in Atlanta Georgia.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Florida State University and a Masters degree in Euphonium performance at Carnegie Mellon University.

"Abigail Lannan is a hard working student that always strives to excel in all her work. She has a heartfelt personality and will always help anyone in need."

- John Nista, Band Director at Ramblewood Middle School
